More Info

The Elgato HD60 S+ (S Plus) 4K is the higher-end external capture unit in Elgato's HD60 range, adding 4K HDR10 pass-through and an SD card slot for standalone recording that doesn't even need a PC connected. It captures up to 2160p at 60fps (with 4K HDR passthrough to the TV/monitor while a downscaled stream/recording is produced), using onboard HEVC hardware encoding to keep CPU load low during capture and streaming, at bitrates up to around 40Mbps. The SD card slot is a genuinely distinct feature versus the plain HD60 S — footage can be recorded straight to an SD card with no computer attached at all, useful for capturing sessions away from a desk setup or as a backup recording path. It connects over two USB3 Type-C ports (one for the device itself, one usually used for power/host connection depending on setup) and accepts an HDMI input with full HDMI pass-through to a display. Console compatibility spans PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, making it a flexible external capture solution for anyone recording across multiple platforms.
