Garmin DCM 12/24V 12V, In 16, Out 16, 18A, Rev. Pol, All output 0,5A minus, 4-20 mA

This is the Garmin/EmpirBus NXT DCM (Digital Control Module) -- the load-switching "muscle" box in Garmin's EmpirBus-based digital switching system, sold as part of Garmin's wider Marine Digital System Solutions / OneHelm lineup. Rather than a traditional panel of mechanical breakers, fuses and a heavy wiring loom running the length of the boat, the DCM sits centrally and switches DC loads on command over the network, letting a single relatively thin data/power backbone replace dozens of individual circuits run all the way back to a helm panel. It runs on either a 12V or 24V DC system, self-configuring for whichever supply it's connected to.

More Info

This exact configuration is specified with 16 digital inputs and 16 outputs; per Garmin's own NXT DCM datasheet for this module family, output capacity splits into 4 high-side channels at 18A and 12 high-side channels at 10A, plus 16 low-side channels at 0.5A, with outputs configurable for reverse polarity -- needed for motorised loads like windows, hatches, awnings or trim tabs that need to run in both directions from the same control channel. Analog inputs on the module can additionally read voltage, resistance or a 4-20 mA current-loop signal (the mode this specific unit is configured for), useful for tank level senders and similar analog sensors. It's IP65-rated for a wet engine-room or lazarette environment, networks over NMEA 2000, and is normally programmed and monitored from a compatible Garmin MFD rather than needing its own dedicated display.
