Garmin DCM,EmpirBus,12/24V,O 12,O HP 4,O Neg 16,I 16,WS

This is another configuration of the Garmin/EmpirBus Digital Control Module (DCM), the networked switching hub at the centre of Garmin's marine digital switching system that replaces traditional mechanical breaker panels with electronically-controlled, monitorable circuits operated from a compatible Garmin chartplotter/MFD or dedicated switch panel. This variant is built for 12/24V DC systems with a channel layout of 12 standard outputs, 4 high-power outputs, 16 negative (ground-return) outputs, and 16 digital inputs, plus WS (wireless switch) support for pairing with Garmin/EmpirBus wireless switch accessories.

More Info

The higher channel count and dedicated high-power output bank on this variant suit larger boats with more circuits to manage — navigation and cabin lighting, bilge pumps, blowers, windlass and other higher-draw accessories — compared to the smaller-channel DCM variants in Garmin's range. As with the rest of the DCM family, it's designed to be permanently wired into the boat's electrical system and networked over NMEA 2000/EmpirBus, with typical family-wide specifications of IP65 water/dust resistance and an operating range of roughly -20°C to +55°C, making it suitable for mounting in an engine room or electrical locker rather than requiring a fully climate-controlled space. Configuration and monitoring is normally done through Garmin's own EmpirBus NXT configuration software once installed, letting an installer name and group circuits logically for the boat owner rather than labelling them by raw channel number.
