Unknown DELL POWEREDGE R470 XEON 6507P SERVER

The Dell PowerEdge R470 is Dell's current-generation (17th Gen) single-socket 1U rack server, built for organisations that want strong core performance and expandability in a compact form factor rather than the higher raw core counts of a dual-socket chassis. This configuration is built around an Intel Xeon 6507P — one of Intel's new Xeon 6 'Performance-core' processors, running 8 cores/16 threads at a 3.5GHz base clock with a substantial 48MB of cache and support for the latest DDR5-6400 memory, a genuinely fast per-core CPU aimed at latency-sensitive workloads rather than pure core-count scaling.
The R470's single socket connects to 16 DDR5 memory slots across an 8-channel architecture, for up to 1TB of system memory, and the chassis supports up to 8 front drive bays in 2.5-inch SAS, SATA, NVMe, or EDSFF E3.S configurations. Two PCIe Gen5 x16 full-height/half-length slots on the rear riser give room for high-speed networking or storage controllers, and the server can take up to two single-width 75W-class GPUs (e.g. NVIDIA L4) for light AI inferencing or media transcoding alongside its main compute role. Remote management runs through Dell's newest iDRAC10 controller, built into every PowerEdge server, for out-of-band monitoring, firmware updates, and virtual console access regardless of OS state.
