The Dell UltraSharp UP3218KA is a 31.5-inch 8K professional monitor from Dell's PremierColor UltraHD line, aimed squarely at colour-critical creative professionals — photographers, video editors, and design studios — who need extreme pixel density and wide, accurate colour coverage rather than gaming refresh rates. Its IPS panel delivers a native 7680 x 4320 resolution at roughly 280 pixels per inch in a 16:9 aspect ratio, giving four times the pixel count of a standard 4K display, and it's factory colour-calibrated to cover 100% Adobe RGB and 98% DCI-P3 colour spaces with support for 1.07 billion colours.

More Info

Brightness is rated at 400 nits with a 6ms response time at 60Hz refresh — plenty for static colour work, though not intended for fast-motion gaming use. Connectivity covers two DisplayPort 1.4 inputs (needed to drive the full 8K resolution at 60Hz via dual-stream transport), three USB 3.0 downstream ports, one USB 3.0 downstream port dedicated to charging, a USB 3.0 upstream port, and an audio line-out. The stand offers full ergonomic adjustment — tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustment — plus 100mm VESA mounting compatibility for arm-mount setups, and with the stand attached the monitor measures roughly 19.6" tall by 27.5" wide by 8.7" deep. Dell backs this model with a 3-year Advanced Exchange Service, limited hardware warranty, and Dell's Premium Panel Guarantee against bright-pixel defects.
