The Garmin ECHOMAP Ultra 2 122sv is a 12-inch chartplotter/sonar combo unit bundled here with a GT56UHD-TM transducer and a worldwide basemap, positioned as a serious mid-to-high-end fishfinder and navigation display for anglers and cruisers. Its 12-inch IPS touchscreen runs WXGA resolution (1280 x 800) with keyed-assist controls alongside the touch interface, useful for operating the unit in rough conditions or with wet or gloved hands where touch alone isn't reliable.
Navigation is handled by a dual-frequency L1/L5, 10Hz GPS/GLONASS/Galileo receiver for fast, accurate position fixes, and it includes Garmin's Quickdraw Contours software for building custom high-detail depth maps of water the angler fishes regularly; it's also compatible with Garmin Navionics+ and premium Navionics Vision+ charts with relief shading and Auto Guidance+ route planning. The bundled GT56 transducer supports traditional CHIRP sonar (70/83/200kHz) at up to 600W transmit power, plus Ultra High-Definition CHIRP ClearVu and SideVu scanning sonar (260/455/800/1000/1200kHz) at up to 500W — giving both classic fish-arch sonar and high-resolution structure scanning from one transducer. It also supports the full Garmin LiveScope live-scanning sonar range for real-time imaging.
