Garmin echoMAP Ultra 2 162sv, WW, w/ GT56
The Garmin echoMAP Ultra 2 162sv is a 16-inch chartplotter/sonar combo unit from Garmin's mid-to-premium echoMAP Ultra 2 line, positioned a step below the blackbox-based GPSMAP 8000/9000 series while still offering a genuinely large-format, full-featured helm display. It runs on a Full HD IPS touchscreen (1920 x 1080) with wide viewing angles and strong sunlight and polarized-lens readability, and includes an HDMI output so its chart, sonar and camera views can be mirrored to an external monitor at the helm. This particular SKU ships with a worldwide basemap preloaded and pairs the display with Garmin's GT56UHD-TM transom-mount transducer, so the unit is ready to run both chart plotting and sonar the moment it's installed.
Onboard, the 162sv runs Garmin's dual-frequency traditional CHIRP sonar (70/83/200 kHz, with Low/Medium/High CHIRP presets) alongside Ultra High-Definition ClearVü and SideVü scanning sonar, giving photo-like images of structure and fish beneath and to the sides of the boat via the bundled GT56UHD-TM. It's also built to accept the full Garmin LiveScope live-scanning sonar lineup for anglers who want to add real-time forward or down sonar later. A one-year Garmin Navionics+ subscription with Auto Guidance and daily map updates is preloaded, and the unit shares sonar, waypoints and routes wirelessly with other Garmin chartplotters over its built-in WLAN, plus Bluetooth voice control for hands-free operation. Typical box contents are the display head, the GT56UHD-TM transducer, mounting bracket and cabling, and printed documentation.
