Garmin echoMAP Ultra 2 162sv, WW, w/o xdcr
The Garmin echoMAP Ultra 2 162sv is a 16-inch chartplotter/sonar combo from Garmin's echoMAP Ultra 2 series, sitting below the blackbox GPSMAP 8000/9000 line but still delivering a large, genuinely capable helm display. It uses a Full HD IPS touchscreen (1920 x 1080) with wide viewing angles and clear sunlight and polarized-lens readability, plus an HDMI output for mirroring chart, sonar and camera feeds to a second display. This variant ships as a worldwide-basemap display-only unit, with no transducer included in the box — it's intended for a boat that already has a compatible Garmin transducer on hand, or for a buyer who wants to select their own (GT56UHD-TM, LiveScope, or another Garmin-compatible sensor) separately rather than take the manufacturer's standard bundled unit.
Even without a bundled transducer, the 162sv's sonar engine is fully built in: once a suitable transducer is connected it supports dual-frequency traditional CHIRP (70/83/200 kHz, L/M/H presets) and Ultra High-Definition ClearVü/SideVü scanning sonar, and the display is LiveScope-ready for Garmin's full live-scanning sonar range. A one-year Garmin Navionics+ subscription with Auto Guidance and daily chart updates is preloaded on the worldwide basemap. The unit shares sonar images, waypoints and routes wirelessly with other Garmin chartplotters over its built-in WLAN, supports Bluetooth voice control, and connects to the ActiveCaptain app for firmware and chart updates. Box contents for this SKU are the display head, mounting bracket, power/data cabling and documentation only — budget separately for a transducer before first use.
