The Garmin epix Pro (Gen 2), 42mm Sapphire Edition is the smallest case size in Garmin's premium AMOLED multisport smartwatch line, built for smaller wrists without giving up the series' full health, training and outdoor-navigation feature set. It combines a vivid 1.2" AMOLED touchscreen (390 x 390px) with full-colour mapping, multi-band GPS, wrist heart rate, Pulse Ox, HRV status, sleep coaching, Garmin Pay, on-watch music storage (up to 2,000 songs via Spotify/Amazon Music/Deezer), and a built-in adjustable LED flashlight found across the whole epix Pro range. As a Sapphire Edition, it upgrades from the entry Glass model's Gorilla Glass/stainless-steel build to a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal lens and a Carbon Gray DLC-coated titanium bezel with a black silicone band, for a lighter, more scratch-resistant watch. It is rated 10 ATM water resistant. Battery life is the trade-off for the compact size: up to 10 days in smartwatch mode with gesture wake (about 4 days with always-on display), around 21 hours with all satellite systems active, or 13 hours with multi-band GPS — noticeably less than the 47mm and 51mm Sapphire models, which run considerably longer on their larger batteries. Best suited to someone who wants the Sapphire Edition's premium materials in the smallest, lightest case; anyone doing very long multi-day activities should size up to the 47mm or 51mm epix Pro.
