The Epson TM-U220IIB is a robust 9-pin impact (dot matrix) receipt printer for restaurants, kitchens and retail counters where heat would fade thermal paper or carbon copies are needed. This 142 version connects over Ethernet (10/100) and USB, includes the power supply and a near-end paper sensor, and comes in Epson dark grey. It has an auto-cutter, drop-in paper loading and clamshell covers for easy maintenance, and prints up to 40 columns at 16 cpi using the ESC/POS command set. A 20 KB buffer lets it accept more orders at once during busy periods. Epson rates the print head at 150 million characters and the MTBF at 180,000 hours.
