The Epson TM-U220IIB (C31CL27142) is an impact (dot matrix) POS receipt printer with an automatic cutter and Ethernet interface, used in restaurants, kitchens, bars and retail counters where receipts or kitchen tickets must survive heat, grease and humidity that would fade thermal paper. Its 9-pin print head prints on plain paper rolls, including two-ply carbon-copy paper, and supports two-colour (black and red) printing with a suitable ribbon. The printer has drop-in paper loading, a selectable auto-cutter and clamshell covers for easy access, a 20 KB receive buffer for handling multiple orders, and uses Epson's ESC/POS command set. This model includes a USB 2.0 port in addition to 10/100 Ethernet, a paper near-end sensor and a power supply, in Epson dark grey. Print head life is 150 million characters and MTBF is 180,000 hours. It measures 160 x 248 x 139 mm and weighs 2.5 kg. In the box: printer, AC adapter, ribbon, roll paper and manual.
