The Explorer Cases 13527.B is a long, double-depth waterproof hard case in black, supplied with pick-and-pluck (pre-cubed) foam so users can shape custom compartments for their equipment. Made from copolymer polypropylene, it is designed for long items such as lighting stands and instrumentation, tripods, mic stands, antenna masts, rifles and other fragile or valuable gear transported by AV rental companies, film crews, survey teams and security or defence users. Internal dimensions are 1350 x 350 x 272 mm (42 mm lid, 230 mm base) and external dimensions 1430 x 415 x 296 mm, giving a volume of about 128.5 litres. It weighs 11.7 kg empty or 14.9 kg with foam. Six wheels with bearings make it easy to roll, and it has a large front handle, two-man-lift side handles, jam-free latches with an easy-opening mechanism, padlockable points, an automatic pressure-release valve and a removable waterproof ID label. The case is rated for operating temperatures from about -33 to +90 degrees C and has internal slots for optional panel-mounting brackets. It carries a NATO stock number.
