The Explorer Cases 13527.B E is a large, double-depth waterproof hard case in black, supplied empty (no foam), from Italian manufacturer Explorer Cases (GT Line). At 135 cm long it is designed for long equipment such as lighting fixtures and stands, LED bars, speaker poles, tripods, survey instruments or rifles, and is widely used by production companies, broadcasters, the military and industry. The shell is moulded from copolymer polypropylene with a sealing O-ring and an automatic pressure-release valve, and it is rated for use from -33 to +90 degrees C. Internal dimensions are 1350 x 350 x 272 mm (42 mm lid plus 230 mm base) and external dimensions 1430 x 415 x 296 mm, giving about 128.5 litres of volume. Features include six wheels with bearings, jam-free latches with an easy-opening mechanism, padlockable points, corrosion-proof metal hinges with lid-stay, a large front handle plus two-person side handles, internal slots for optional panel-mounting brackets and a removable waterproof ID label. The empty case weighs 11.7 kg. Pre-cubed foam and full foam versions are sold separately under different codes.
