At its heart is a compact course computer built around a solid-state 9-axis attitude and heading reference system (AHRS), which reads the boat's heading, roll and pitch and issues steering commands over the boat's NMEA 2000 backbone so autopilot data can be shared freely with chartplotters and other instruments. The corepack supports up to three GHC controllers on a single Reactor 40 system and covers both powerboat and sailing autopilot modes -- heading hold, wind hold, tack and jibe, step turns, and more. The course computer itself is compact and rugged: roughly 91.4mm (3-19/32in) in diameter, weighing about 159g (5.6oz), rated to IEC 529 IPX7 waterproofing in a fully gasketed, high-impact plastic case, and operable from -15C to 55C -- built to be mounted out of sight in a helm or lazarette rather than at the dash.
