It combines a 12.1-inch diagonal touchscreen (10.3 x 6.4 inches active display area) with a built-in single-channel CHIRP sonar engine supporting traditional dual-frequency sonar, CHIRP ClearVu and CHIRP SideVu scanning sonar for high-definition views of structure and fish beneath and to the sides of the boat, plus support for Garmin's Panoptix real-time sonar when paired with a compatible transducer. It's waterproof to IPX7, ships with both bail-mount and flush-mount hardware for different helm layouts, and has two SD card slots for chart cards and data backup, plus internal memory for up to 5,000 waypoints, 50,000 track points, 50 saved tracks and 100 routes. A high-sensitivity internal 10Hz GPS/GLONASS receiver gives fast, accurate position updates, and it's fully network-capable across Garmin's Marine Network and NMEA 2000/NMEA 0183, meaning it can act as the central display in a larger helm setup with radar, autopilot, engine data and additional MFDs.
