It supports traditional dual-frequency CHIRP sonar plus Garmin's own CHIRP ClearVu and SideVu high-definition scanning sonar for a clear picture of structure and fish beneath and to the sides of the boat, and it's compatible with the full Panoptix and LiveScope live-scanning sonar range for real-time, all-seeing sonar (transducers sold separately). Navigation-wise it takes Garmin's worldwide basemap and can be expanded with Navionics+ or Garmin Navionics Vision+ chart cards. NMEA 2000 and Garmin Marine Network ports let it act as the hub of a multi-display helm, sharing sonar, radar, autopilot and digital-switching data across every paired unit on the network — ideal for a center-console or bass boat where console space is limited but full-featured fishing electronics are still required.
