Garmin GPSMAP 9010, Worldwide

The Garmin GPSMAP 9010 is the non-sonar counterpart to the GPSMAP 9010xsv in this range -- same 10-inch premium 9000-series chassis and BlueNet gigabit networking, but without built-in sonar, aimed at boats that already have sonar handled through a separate black-box module (such as the GSD 28) or don't need fishfinding at this particular helm station. This is the Worldwide basemap version. As with the xsv model, the display is a full-HD 1920x1200 edge-to-edge touchscreen built for in-dash mounting, with an IPX7 rating for open helm use in wet conditions.
Garmin specifies processing power up to seven times faster than the previous-generation GPSMAP series, which shows up as quicker chart redraws and smoother handling of multiple windows/instrument overlays on screen. It supports Garmin Navionics+ charts with Auto Guidance+ automatic route plotting, integrated Bluetooth and ANT wireless, and 5GHz Wi-Fi for faster ActiveCaptain app chart and software updates. Since it has no built-in sonar, fishfinding on this unit requires adding a compatible sounder module and transducer to the same BlueNet/NMEA 2000 network -- the same GSD 28 module and Airmar transducers sold elsewhere in this range are the natural pairing for exactly that. Everything else about the 9000-series build (edge-to-edge touchscreen, IPX7 rating, gigabit BlueNet networking) carries over unchanged from the sonar-equipped xsv model.
