The Garmin GPSMAP 9013 is a 13-inch premium chartplotter from Garmin's flagship GPSMAP 9000 series, the newest and fastest generation of Garmin's large-format marine multifunction displays, built around a 4K IPS sunlight-readable touchscreen. Unlike the "xsv" variants in the same numbering family, the plain 9013 has no built-in sonar engine of its own — it's a pure navigation/networking display intended either for a boat with no fishfinding requirement, or as a helm screen that draws its sonar feed from an external black box sonar module (such as a GSD 26 or Panoptix/LiveScope processor) elsewhere on the Garmin Marine Network. This unit ships with a worldwide basemap preloaded.
Garmin rates the 9013's processor at up to seven times faster than the previous-generation GPSMAP 8000 series, and it connects over Garmin's gigabit-speed BlueNet network for quick loading of charts, camera feeds and multiple linked displays at the helm — a meaningful upgrade for boats running several screens or high-resolution radar/camera overlays. It includes integrated Bluetooth and ANT wireless connectivity, supports NMEA 2000 for engine, autopilot and instrument data, and carries an IPX7 water-resistance rating for open helm installation. Physically it measures roughly 13.2 x 9.19 x 3.56 inches and weighs about 9.1 lbs. Because it has no onboard sonar hardware, expect the box to contain the display head, mounting hardware, power/BlueNet cabling and documentation, with any sonar module, GPS antenna and transducer purchased and networked separately.
