It uses the same gigabit-speed Garmin BlueNet networking as the rest of the 9000 series for fast data sharing across multiple displays, radar, and sonar sources on a networked boat, at a screen resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels - genuine 4K detail on a helm display small enough to fit boats or helm layouts that can't accommodate the larger 17-27 inch models in the same lineup. It's a good fit for smaller centre consoles, sport boats, or as a secondary display alongside a larger primary chartplotter on a bigger vessel, giving full premium sonar and navigation capability without needing the largest available screen size. The GPS 24xd receiver and NMEA 2000 starter kit are included in the box, exactly as with every other 9000-series display, so it's ready to network into a boat's existing Garmin marine system without needing a separate positioning antenna purchased alongside it.
