Garmin GPSMAP 9017, Worldwide

The Garmin GPSMAP 9017 is the non-sonar sibling of the 9017xsv above: a 17-inch, 4K-touchscreen glass-bridge chartplotter from Garmin's flagship 9000 series, with the worldwide basemap preloaded, but without built-in fishfinding sonar - intended for boats where sonar is sourced from a separate black-box module, or not needed at all. Dropping the built-in sonar hardware keeps the cost below the equivalent xsv model while retaining the same premium 4K display and glass-bridge design language.
It carries the same core 9000-series capability as the sonar-equipped variant: seven times the processing power of the prior-generation Garmin glass-bridge displays, the GPS 24xd multi-band position receiver for fast, precise positioning, and an NMEA 2000 starter kit included in the box. As a pure chartplotter it's built to network with other Garmin MFDs, radar, autopilot, and separate sonar modules over Garmin's marine network rather than working in isolation, and multiple 17-inch units (or other 9000-series sizes) can be flat-mounted edge-to-edge to build a true glass-bridge helm array. This configuration suits boats where sonar duty is already handled by a separate black-box module elsewhere on the network, or a second/third helm-station display where full 4K chart detail matters more than having sonar duplicated on every screen.
