The Hikvision DS-2FA1205-C8(EUR) is a wall-mount switching power supply that runs up to eight CCTV cameras from one mains point. It delivers 12V DC at up to 1A per channel and 5A (60W) in total through a screw-terminal strip, so each camera gets its own pair of wires rather than sharing a daisy-chained supply. A three-position cable-length compensation switch raises the output to 13.5V or 15V for long cable runs, helping cameras far from the box still get enough voltage. Its wide 150-285VAC input copes well with the voltage swings common on South African grids, and it includes over-current, short-circuit and over-voltage protection plus a green power LED. The white plastic case has keyhole slots for wall mounting next to the DVR, measures 144 x 109.5 x 33 mm, and connects to mains via a C8 (figure-8) inlet. Ripple is rated at 150mV, and it runs from 0 °C to 40 °C.
