The Hikvision DS-7108HGHI-M1 is an 8-channel Turbo HD mini 1U DVR for small homes, shops and offices that want to record analogue CCTV cameras without replacing existing coax cabling. It accepts HDTVI, AHD, HDCVI and CVBS cameras on eight BNC inputs (720p/1080p signals), and takes 2 IP cameras out of the box, expandable to 10 IP channels at up to 5MP. Deep-learning Motion Detection 2.0 classifies humans and vehicles on the analogue channels, cutting false alarms from leaves, lights and passing animals, and lets you search footage by event type. Recording uses H.265 Pro+ compression at up to 1080p Lite, which keeps storage use low on the single SATA bay (up to 4TB per disk; drive not included). Video goes out simultaneously over HDMI and VGA at up to 1920 x 1080, audio works over coax, and remote viewing runs through Hik-Connect on your phone. It runs off a 12V 1.5A adapter and draws 17W or less without a hard drive.
