The HP 4K USB-C Multiport Hub (HP part 6G843AA) is a compact, portable hub that turns a single USB-C port on a laptop or tablet into several USB-C connections, including a 4K display output and power pass-through. It connects to the host through an attached USB-C cable and provides two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 data ports, one USB-C 3.2 port with DisplayPort 1.4 Alt Mode for an external monitor at up to 4K 60 Hz, and one USB-C port with up to 65 W power pass-through, so the laptop can be charged through the hub (a 90 W adapter is required for 65 W pass-through and is sold separately). It has no Ethernet port or card reader. HP lists support for Windows 10 and 11, Windows on Arm, ChromeOS, Android, macOS and iPadOS. The hub measures 116 x 41.9 x 15.5 mm and weighs 120 g, small enough for a laptop bag, and uses at least 50% post-consumer recycled plastic. It suits users of thin laptops and tablets that have only USB-C ports and want to connect a monitor, drives and charger at a desk or when travelling.
