The HP Dual USB-C 65W GaN Laptop Charger (HP part 600Q7AA, listed by HP as the 65W GaN USB-C Laptop Charger) is a compact wall charger with two USB-C ports that can charge a laptop and a second device at the same time. Gallium nitride (GaN) technology allows a much smaller body than a conventional laptop brick: HP lists 75 x 53 x 22 mm and only 85 g. In single-port mode it delivers up to 65 W, enough for most thin-and-light USB-C laptops; with both ports in use it splits power, for example 30 W + 30 W, 45 W + 20 W or 20 W + 45 W, depending on the devices connected. Output voltages of 5, 9, 12, 15 and 20 V are supported, as are the PD, PPS, QC 5.0 and AFC fast-charging protocols, so it also fast-charges many phones and tablets. The box contains the charger, a 1 m USB-C to USB-C cable, a power cord and a warranty card. It is black, uses at least 20% post-consumer recycled plastic and works with most USB-C devices, HP and non-HP. It suits travellers and hybrid workers who want one small charger for laptop and phone.
