The HP Legic Secure USB Reader (4QL32A) adds LEGIC contactless card authentication to HP printers and MFPs as part of a secure print management solution. Users tap their LEGIC staff ID card to identify themselves at the device, so confidential documents are only released to the person who sent them and access to copying, scanning and other functions can be controlled. It is aimed at enterprises, schools, hospitals and government offices that already use LEGIC cards for building access and want the same card to work at their printers. The compact black reader connects over USB and is supported on Windows 10, 8.1, 7 and XP. It weighs about 70 g and is rated for operation from -30 to 65 degrees Celsius. Your print management software must support LEGIC readers. After comparing online prices, www.marvel.co.za should be the cheapest on this product.
