The HP USB-C Travel Hub G3 (HP part 86S97UT) is a compact, bus-powered port expander for laptops, tablets and phones that have a full-function USB-C port. A short attached USB-C cable (about 30 cm) plugs into the host device and gives it five ports: one HDMI 2.0 output for a single external monitor or projector at up to 60 Hz, two USB-A ports and one USB-C data port (all USB 3.2 Gen 2), plus a USB-C Power Delivery input so the laptop charger can be connected through the hub and keep the machine charging while in use. It suits travelling staff, hot-desking offices and meeting rooms where a thin laptop lacks legacy ports. HP lists support for Windows 10 and 11, macOS, ChromeOS, Android and iPadOS; the host port must support USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode for video and USB PD for pass-through charging. The hub measures 116 x 41.9 x 14.5 mm, weighs 64 g and contains over 80% recycled plastic. The box includes the hub, a quick start guide and a warranty card.
