The HTPNEO H66 is an entry-level smart projector for bedrooms, kids' rooms and casual movie nights, where a big picture matters more than brightness. Esquire's mailer shows a compact white cylinder-style projector on a swivel base, so the lens can be tilted to point the image at a wall or up towards the ceiling. It has a native HD resolution of 1280 x 720, a rated brightness of 120 ANSI lumens and a 500:1 contrast ratio, which means it is meant for a dark or well-darkened room rather than a bright lounge in the afternoon. For connections it has one HDMI port for a laptop, console or streaming stick and one USB port for playing media from a flash drive. At this price it is a simple, low-cost way to try projection at home before spending more on a brighter Full HD model such as the HTPNEO H80 or H86. Pair it with a pull-up or tripod screen for the sharpest, most even picture.
