The Huawei eKitEngine S110-8P2ST is a compact, fanless unmanaged switch built for small offices, shops and homes needing to power IP cameras, Wi-Fi APs or VoIP phones over one cable. It has eight Gigabit RJ45 ports (1-8) with PoE+ output (IEEE 802.3af/at, up to 30W per port) sharing a 124W total PoE budget, plus two uplinks: a Gigabit RJ45 port (9) and a 1G SFP fibre slot (10) for linking to a router, core switch or a building further away. It is plug-and-play with no configuration, but a front DIP switch selects Standard mode, Port Isolation (handy for keeping cameras or guest APs apart) or Flow Control Disabling, and a separate LED Mode switch toggles the port lights between port status and PoE status. Switching capacity is 20Gbps with a 14.88Mpps forwarding rate and a 4K MAC table. The white desktop chassis measures 35 x 210 x 130mm, weighs about 0.91kg, cools passively and is powered by an external 56V 2.68A adapter - a tidy fit for a small South African office or home CCTV setup.
