The Hyperkin Duke is an officially Xbox-licensed reissue of the original 2001 Xbox controller, scaled and refined for modern hardware as part of the Xbox 20th Anniversary Limited Edition lineup. This Cortana edition dresses the Duke's oversized, contoured shell in a design inspired by Halo's AI companion — a nod to one of the most recognisable characters from Xbox's flagship franchise rather than a plain single colour. It keeps every functional upgrade the reissue was built around: a detachable braided USB Type-C cable in place of the original's bulky Communicator port, native compatibility with Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10/11 PCs, a tiny screen inside the Xbox button that plays the original Xbox startup animation, a Share button for quick captures, precision analog triggers and bumpers with vibration feedback, and a 3.5mm headset jack. At roughly 419g it's noticeably heavier than a standard Xbox pad (~287g) — the authentic Duke weight, not trimmed down for modern hands. Wired only, no batteries needed.
