The HyperX Cloud III (HP part 727A8AA) is a wired gaming headset in black, the successor to HyperX's popular Cloud II. It is aimed at PC and console gamers, streamers and anyone who spends long sessions on voice chat and calls. Retuned 53 mm dynamic drivers are angled towards the ear, and the closed, circumaural ear cups use HyperX signature memory foam in both the headband and cushions for comfort over long periods, with a durable metal frame. A detachable 10 mm boom microphone with noise cancellation handles voice chat, and an LED mute indicator shows clearly when the microphone is muted. On-ear-cup controls give direct mic mute and volume adjustment. The headset connects over 3.5 mm or via the included USB dongle, and a USB-C to USB-A adapter is supplied; DTS Headphone:X spatial audio is supported. It works with PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Mac and mobile devices. Frequency response is 10 Hz to 21 kHz, impedance 64 ohm, and the headset weighs 308 g with a 1.3 m cable. The box contains the headset, detachable microphone, USB dongle, USB-C to USB-A adapter and quick start guide.
