The ICY DOCK EZConvert MB703M2P-B is not a docking station — it's a converter/carrier that mounts an M.2 SATA (B/B+M key) SSD, from 2230 up to 2280 in length, inside a standard 9.5mm-tall 2.5-inch SATA enclosure so it can be used in any 2.5in SATA drive bay, including hot-swap bays. Installation is tool-less via an adjustable locking clip, and it exposes the drive through a standard SATA connector (rated for 10,000 insertion cycles) rather than the more fragile M.2 connector (rated for only 250), making it durable for frequent swapping. It is not compatible with M.2 NVMe drives, and its bottom panel can be removed for extra airflow or heatsink installation.
