The Intel NUC8i7iNHx (Next Unit of Computing) is a compact 117x112x51mm mini PC built around an Intel Core i7-8565U (4 cores, 8 threads with Hyper-Threading, 1.8GHz base up to 4.6GHz turbo, 8MB cache). It has 8GB of LPDDR3-1866 memory soldered directly to the board (no upgrade slot), plus an M.2x4 2280 slot (usable as PCIe, SATA, or Optane) and a 2.5" SATA6G bay for storage, along with an SDXC card reader. Unusually for a NUC of this size, it includes a genuine discrete GPU -- an AMD Radeon 540X with 2GB of dedicated GDDR5 memory (512 stream processors, 1219MHz) -- giving it real light gaming and video-editing capability well beyond a typical integrated-graphics mini PC. Video output covers HDMI, mini DisplayPort, and a combined USB-C/DP/Thunderbolt 3 port for 4K displays. Networking covers Gigabit Ethernet and dual-band Wireless-AC 9560 Wi-Fi with Bluetooth, with 7.1-channel audio over HDMI/DP.
