The Intellinet 720342 is a 1U, 19-inch rack-mount passive Power over Ethernet patch panel that adds PoE to a network without replacing your existing switch. It has 24 RJ45 ports in total: 12 Data In ports that connect to your normal switch, and 12 matching Data + Power Out ports that send data and 48V DC power together down the cable to devices such as access points, IP cameras and VoIP phones that accept passive PoE. The included external power supply delivers 120 watts of usable power, with up to 30 watts per port. It is Cat5e compatible, built from metal in black, and installs in any standard 19-inch rack, which makes it a cost-effective way for South African offices and CCTV installers to power several devices from one rack position. Note that this is passive PoE: check your end devices support a fixed 48V passive input before connecting them. In the box: the 24-port PoE patch panel and its power supply.
