Intellinet's 739788 is a very short 0.25m premium Cat6 S/FTP patch cable in grey, made for tidy patching inside a network cabinet or rack, for example from a patch panel to the switch port directly below it, or linking a router and switch sitting side by side. It uses 100% copper 28AWG stranded conductors (4 x 2 x AWG 28/7) with double shielding: an overall tinned-copper braid plus aluminium foil around each pair (PiMF), which keeps crosstalk and outside interference down in dense cabinets and around PoE equipment. The RJ45 plugs are fully shielded with gold-plated contacts and snag-free moulded boots, wired to EIA/TIA 568B. Being Cat6 (250MHz), it supports Gigabit Ethernet and PoE, and is also suitable for HDMI-over-Ethernet extenders and AV installs. Thin 28AWG cable bends easily in crowded racks.
