The Kiloview C1 Mini is a pocket-sized 3G-SDI to HDMI video converter used to feed an SDI signal from a broadcast camera, switcher or router into an HDMI monitor, projector, TV or capture device. It accepts SD, HD and 3G-SDI inputs up to 1080p60 (2.97 Gbps) and outputs HDMI 1.4, so it bridges professional SDI infrastructure and consumer or prosumer HDMI displays on live events, in churches, studios, outside broadcasts and conference venues. Kiloview uses FPGA image processing for 10-bit, visually lossless conversion, and embedded SDI audio is de-embedded and re-embedded into the HDMI output so sound travels with the picture. A dial on the base lets the operator overlay useful monitoring aids on the HDMI output: a safe-area frame, audio level meters and a centre cross, handy when the converter drives a camera operator's or director's monitor. The unit measures about 46 x 96 x 23 mm, weighs roughly 120 g and draws only about 1 W from a wide 5 to 16 V DC input. It operates from -20 to 60 degrees C.
