The Kiloview DC220 is a compact HD H.264 IP video decoder that receives a network video stream and turns it back into a baseband signal for a display, projector, switcher or broadcast chain. It is used in live streaming, houses of worship, education, corporate AV and broadcast contribution to pull a remote or encoded feed onto a local screen or into an SDI production system. The decoder accepts streams over a gigabit Ethernet RJ45 port using mainstream protocols including SRT, RTMP, HLS, RTSP, RTP and TS over UDP, and decodes H.264 video with AAC or G.711 audio at up to 1080p60 and around 40 Mbps, with latency quoted from about 200 ms. Outputs are a 3G-SDI BNC (SD/HD/3G, up to 1080p60) and a DVI-I connector that carries HDMI (up to 1080p60) or VGA (up to UXGA) video, plus a 3.5 mm analogue audio output alongside embedded SDI/HDMI audio. A USB host port and a 12 V DC input are also provided. Kiloview has since introduced the D260 as its current HD decoder, so confirm firmware support for your streaming protocol before purchase.
