The Kiloview N3 is a bi-directional 3G-SDI to Full NDI converter for broadcast-grade IP video production. In encoder mode it takes a 3G-SDI camera or switcher feed up to 1080p60 and turns it into a Full NDI (high bandwidth) stream, typically 125 Mbps at 1080p60, while passing the SDI signal through to a local monitor; in decoder mode it receives an NDI stream from the network and outputs it on 3G-SDI. It suits live production, church streaming, studios and outside broadcast teams moving SDI cameras onto an NDI network. The N3 is powered by PoE over its gigabit Ethernet port, by DC, or from a camera D-Tap, accepting a wide 5 - 18 V input and drawing about 6 W. It features a large built-in tally light, power and status LEDs, PTZ camera control over the network or serial port, a 3.5 mm audio in/out for multi-channel audio and intercom functions, automatic video source detection and control with a USB keypad. It is backward compatible with SD, HD and VESA signals. One device performs either one NDI encode or one decode at a time.
