The Kiloview N4 is a bi-directional HDMI to Full NDI converter. It encodes a 1080p60 HDMI source such as a camera, laptop or switcher into a Full NDI (high bandwidth) stream, typically around 125 Mbps at 1080p60, with HDMI loop-out for local monitoring, or it receives an NDI stream from the network and decodes it back out to an HDMI display. It is used in live production, streaming, education, churches and corporate AV to add HDMI devices to an NDI-based IP workflow without a computer. Power can come from PoE on its gigabit Ethernet port, a DC adapter or a camera D-Tap, across a 5 - 18 V input range, and it draws about 6 W. The N4 includes a large tally light plus power and status LEDs, PTZ camera control via network or serial port, a 3.5 mm audio port, intercom support, automatic source detection and optional control from a USB keypad. It is backward compatible with SD, HD and VESA resolutions, and handles one NDI encode or one decode at a time.
