The Kiloview S2 is a compact 4K HDMI video encoder that converts an HDMI source such as a camera, computer or production switcher into IP streams for live streaming, remote contribution, recording and IP-based production. It accepts HDMI input up to 4Kp60 and encodes up to 4Kp30 in H.265 (HEVC) or H.264, with H.265 roughly halving bandwidth for the same quality (for example 4Kp30 at around 4 Mbps versus 8 Mbps in H.264). Supported outputs include NDI|HX, SRT, RTMP, RTMPS, HLS, TS-UDP, RTSP and ONVIF, so one box can feed streaming platforms, NDI production systems and recorders at the same time. An HDMI loop output passes the signal to a local monitor, a 3.5 mm analogue audio input allows external audio to be embedded, and a USB 2.0 port supports storage and expansion. It also supports PoE, tally, PTZ control and text or picture overlays. Power is 12 V DC (9 W), size 140 x 100 x 28 mm and weight 300 g. Churches, schools, event crews and broadcasters are typical users.
