The Kiloview U40 is a compact 4K60 HDMI to NDI converter that turns any HDMI camera or source into an NDI device, sending Full NDI (high bandwidth) over a single network cable. It takes HDMI 2.0 input up to 4K at 60 frames per second, and can also pull in IP streams such as RTSP, SRT, RTMP and HLS and re-publish them as NDI|HX, SRT, RTMP, RTSP or TS-UDP, making it useful as a small gateway as well as an encoder. Its round aluminium body mounts on a camera cold shoe, and it offers two gigabit Ethernet ports, PoE power input with a 12 V DC output that can power the camera, PTZ control, a built-in tally light, a USB 2.0 port for expansion and a 3.5 mm analogue audio input for audio and intercom. Broadcast crews, live-event producers, houses of worship and education AV teams use it to bring cameras into NDI production systems without capture cards. It measures 90 mm in diameter by 30 mm high, weighs 310 g and runs from 12 V DC 1 A or PoE.
