The König & Meyer 25950 »Rien« is an extra-low microphone stand in black, designed for miking kick (bass) drums, guitar and bass amplifier cabinets, and other sources close to the floor. Its very short, heavy legs on a zinc die-cast base keep the centre of gravity low for maximum stability, while the legs fold for easy transport. The stand is only 280 mm high and comes with a two-piece telescopic boom arm that extends from 425 mm to 725 mm and is clamped with a T-bar locking screw, giving plenty of reach into a kick drum port or across to a speaker grille. It has a standard 3/8-inch threaded connector for microphone clips and holders (use an adapter for 5/8-inch fittings). Made from steel, it weighs 2.98 kg and folds down to 122 x 85 x 450 mm.
