The Konig & Meyer 221 d (order number 22140-300-55) is a black screw-on table flange with a 3/8-inch threaded stud, used to mount a gooseneck microphone or similar accessory permanently on a lectern, conference table, reception counter, pulpit or broadcast desk. The flange is screwed to the surface through its three 5.2 mm holes, and the gooseneck then threads onto the 3/8-inch stud (the common microphone-stand thread). A key detail is the 4 mm cable entry hole through the threaded bolt, which lets a thin microphone cable pass straight down through the flange and the table top, so the installation looks tidy with no cable running over the surface. The flange is made of steel, finished in black, 73 mm in diameter and 13 mm high, and weighs 111 g. It is a typical part in church, council chamber, boardroom and lecture-hall installations.
