Panther Lake is Intel's newest mobile processor generation, bringing improved CPU and integrated GPU performance along with a more capable on-chip NPU for AI-accelerated features - being an early adopter of this generation, this ThinkBook 16 G9 sits at the current leading edge of Lenovo's business notebook refresh cycle rather than running a last-generation chip. The WUXGA display's 16:10 aspect ratio (rather than a standard 16:9 panel) gives noticeably more vertical space for documents, spreadsheets, and web pages - genuinely useful for office productivity work. As a business-line ThinkBook it typically ships with Windows 11 Pro and Lenovo's standard business support/manageability features aimed at IT-managed fleet deployment, including remote asset management tooling and a security feature set built for corporate IT policy compliance rather than the lighter consumer-focused software load on Lenovo's IdeaPad range.
