The Libec HFMP Hands-Free Monopod is a video monopod with a built-in, fold-out mini tripod base, for videographers who want the speed and small footprint of a monopod but also need it to stand up on its own, freeing their hands to adjust settings, change batteries or walk away briefly without the camera falling. Three leg sections with quick flip locks let it be deployed fast. The base legs fold out to form a stable, free-standing platform on which the monopod can swivel through 360 degrees and tilt about 20 degrees in any direction for smooth pans and angle changes, and a foot-operated latch between the legs locks it vertical or frees the movement. Rated for loads up to 8 kg, it is made of aluminium alloy with large rubber feet. It suits event, wedding, sports, documentary and run-and-gun shooters using camcorders or DSLR and mirrorless rigs. A video head is not included in this monopod-only version; Libec also sells the HFMP KIT with a head.
