The Libec LX7 is a complete video tripod system combining a two-stage aluminium tripod, a pan and tilt fluid head and a floor (ground) spreader, supplied with a padded carry bag. It is aimed at videographers, event and church crews, schools and corporate video teams shooting with small to mid-sized DV/HD, mirrorless and semi-shoulder cameras. The head carries a load of up to 8 kg and uses Libec's Super Torque system for smooth, controlled pans and tilts, with a fixed counterbalance and tilt drag, 360-degree pan and a +90 to -80 degree tilt range. The camera mounts on a sliding plate with a 1/4-inch screw and video pin, adjustable by about +/-40 mm to balance the rig, and the head fits a 75 mm bowl. The legs extend from a minimum height of 56 cm to a maximum of 166 cm, and the floor spreader keeps them stable on smooth floors. The whole kit weighs about 5.5 kg and is rated for use between -20 and +60 C.
