This Vivotek camera is a dedicated License Plate Recognition (LPR/ANPR) box camera, built specifically to capture and read vehicle number plates at speed — rated for vehicles moving up to 60mph (90km/h), suiting boom-gate/access-control points, tolling, or perimeter security applications where vehicles pass at moderate speed rather than a static car park entrance only. It captures 2-megapixel video at up to 60fps (a high frame rate needed to freeze a fast-moving plate clearly) in H.265/H.264/MJPEG, with a 9-50mm varifocal lens for adjusting field of view/distance to the read zone, remote back-focus for fine focus adjustment without physically touching the lens, and ICR day/night switching with Vivotek's SNV II (Supreme Night Visibility II) low-light technology for reliable plate reads after dark.
