The Mad Catz EGO is the standard-format sibling in Mad Catz's arcade-stick line, again built around genuine Sanwa Denshi 8-way joystick and action buttons in Vewlix-style spacing for arcade-accurate feel and timing. Its 8 main action buttons are joined by 2 additional programmable buttons (mapped for L3/R3-style inputs), plus a Key Lock switch, adjustable turbo, and a stick-mode switch for platform-specific input modes. It's compatible with PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, connecting over a single USB-A 2.0 cable that runs a generous 3 metres (9.8ft) — long enough to sit the stick on a coffee table well away from the console. Construction is a strong metal base with a non-slip foam underside so the stick stays planted during aggressive inputs, and — like the rest of the range — the top and bottom panels are removable, opening the door to custom art skins and internal upgrades or repairs. It's a substantial unit at 400 x 250 x 80mm and 2.76kg.
