The Mad Catz R.A.T. 2+ steps up from the 1+ with a genuine performance-grade sensor while keeping the same lightweight, adjustable R.A.T. body. It runs a PMW3325DB optical sensor rated to 5000 DPI with 100 IPS tracking and 20G of acceleration at a 1ms polling rate, giving noticeably more headroom for fast-paced shooters and competitive titles than the entry-level model. The ambidextrous, universal-grip shell measures 107 x 67 x 37mm and weighs 67 grams excluding its 1.8m soft rubber cable, and it keeps the R.A.T. family's signature adjustable palm rest so players can lengthen the mouse to suit palm, claw or fingertip grips. Where it distinguishes itself from the 1+ is lighting: the R.A.T. 2+ adds 16.8-million-colour RGB illumination with customisable effects controlled through Mad Catz's software, letting it match a broader RGB setup. It has 3 buttons, is wired only (no wireless variant exists in this tier), and needs Windows 7, 8 or 10 to run.
