It's built around a PixArt PMW3389 PRO optical sensor rated up to 20,000 DPI, with 400 IPS tracking, 50G acceleration and a 2000Hz (0.5ms) polling rate, stored across 4 on-board profiles. Its 11 programmable buttons use switches rated for a higher 60-million-click lifespan than the standard 8+, and the same deep physical customisation carries over: 2 pairs of swappable palm rests, 2 pairs of pinkie rests and 3 removable weights let the 157g base shape and balance be rebuilt to match different hand sizes and grip styles, alongside software-level adjustment of sensor resolution and lift-off height. It measures 119 x 88 x 39mm, connects over a 1.8m braided-fibre cable, and runs 16.8-million-colour RGB lighting with breathing, heartbeat and colour-cycling effects via Mad Catz's software on Windows 7, 8 or 10.
