The Mercusys MS108GS is an 8-port Gigabit unmanaged switch in a metal case. Use it to add wired ports to a home office, study or small business where a fibre router's four LAN ports have run out. Every port runs at 10/100/1000 Mbps with auto-negotiation and auto-MDI/MDIX. That gives smart TVs, consoles, NAS boxes, PCs, printers and IP cameras a stable wired link, and large files transfer at full Gigabit speed. There is nothing to configure: connect power and cables and it works. It has a 4 Mbit buffer, supports 15 KB jumbo frames and uses store-and-forward switching. The black metal housing measures 6.2 x 3.9 x 1.0 in (about 158 x 99 x 25 mm) and is fanless, so it runs silently on a desk or shelf. LEDs show link/activity on each port plus power.
